EYFS
Out of the pupils who did not achieve GLD, 9 pupils have SEND. 1 of these pupils has an EHCP and 2 pupils have EHCPs pending. In addition to this, 10 pupils who did not achieve GLD are in their first year of learning English and 2 children are International New Arrivals (INA).

Out of the 9 children that did not pass, 6 children have SEND (3 of these SEND children have EHCPs). 1 child is an INA who arrived December 2024. 2 children started Lodge during the year. 1 child started in February 2025 with no previous experience of school and 1 child started in May 2025.
If we remove the children who arrived during the academic year, 87% of the core group met the PSC standard.

Overall, 89% of Y2 children nationally have met the phonics threshold in KS1.
At Lodge, 87% of Year 2 children have met the phonics threshold.
Out of the 8 pupils who did not meet the threshold, 7 pupils were SEND including 1 child with an EHCP and 2 were INA (international new arrival) pupils who arrived in Year 2. |

There is no threshold for the MTC. The national average in 2024 was 20.6 and 34% of pupils scored 25. The mean score for Lodge 2024 was 22.5 which was 1.9% above National. In 2025, the percentage of Lodge pupils scoring 25 is 52% and the mean is 21.1. This is similar attainment to 2024. Two pupils with EHCPs were unable to access the MTC.

- In comparison to the previous cohorts of Year 6 pupils, there was a higher proportion of SEND pupils (13) including 1 pupil with an EHCP and 7 children who were still at the early stages of acquiring English.
- * 3 out of 4 INA children were removed after the September checking exercise. 1 child arrived in the last week of July 2022 and was therefore rejected. Children could only be removed if they were admitted after September 2022.
